Discover the beautyof Lipno Dam
The Lipno Reservoir is the largest artificial lake in the Czech Republic. Water from the dam is piped to an underground power plant. The lake created behind the dam is rightly called the “South Bohemian Sea”. It reaches a length of 44 km. At the point of greatest width (near Černá in Pošumaví), the distance between the two banks is 10 km.
Lake inline trail directly from the MOLI apartment
is an ideal tip for an afternoon ride or even an original evening spent in a romantic landscape with a continuous view of the lake’s water surface, which you will definitely not tire of. All this without the need to drive around by car or transport yourself to the beginning of the trail – get to know the lake inline trail with us!
From Lipno nad Vltavou to Frymburk – an eight-kilometer stretch with a perfect surface and varied terrain: bends, slight inclines, safe small descents. The trail is wide enough, but at the same time it copies the natural landscape. This entire section is also illuminated at night. Especially in summer, you can experience a romantic ride on the inlines and along the Lipno dam. The trail is also intended for pedestrians, ideal for the option of skating during the day and walking at night.
The entire route leads off road traffic and is designed so that even complete beginners who want to try inline riding can handle it.

This lake inline trail rightfully belongs among the “must-sees” of Lipno and its surroundings! However, this is far from the only inline trail in the vicinity of the MOLI apartment. If you drive to Stožec, you can enjoy one of the most beautiful inline tracks from Stožec to Nová Peca.

The Devil’s Wall is proud of several “BEST”. It is rightly ranked among the most famous and most visited rock sites in South Bohemia. What did it deserve to be called the Devil’s Wall? Imagine a wall of rocks made of granite split into blocks of bizarre formations, stone fields covering a steep slope up to the Vltava River. Sometimes a lonely pine tree, whose trunk grows into strange shapes in a spontaneous effort to grow and survive. And a beautiful view of the landscape must not be missing! Moreover, the Devil’s Wall is a picturesque place in every season.
- How to get to the Devil's Wall? You can reach the rock formation on the road connecting Vyšší Brod and Lipno nad Vltavou.
- What is the time requirement? The Devil's Wall is literally a few minutes' walk from the adjacent parking lot. It is not a challenging terrain.
It is ideal to combine a trip to the Devil’s Wall with a visit to nearby Rožmberk nad Vltavou. It is a 10-minute drive from the parking lot at the Devil’s Wall to Rožmberk.
Rožmberk is literally the cradle of the Rožmberk family, who contributed to the development of the prosperity of the wider area. This town with less than 400 inhabitants is still a jewel on the banks of the Vltava, which is of course dominated by Rožmberk Castle. By the way, did you know that Rožmberk is one of the main locations of Smetana’s opera The Devil’s Wall based on the libretto by Eliška Krásnohorská?

An experience from a completely different perspective
The view from the treetops, also from the first trail of its kind in the Czech Republic, thanks to which you can see not only Lake Lipno itself, but also the peaks of the Austrian Alps! A great experience not to be missed!
You can go up to the Treetop Trail from the central parking lot on foot, by bike, or by the Lipno Express cable car. The trail itself is then 675 meters long, during which you will overcome almost 40 meters. You will be rewarded with a stunning view of Lake Lipno, the Šumava nature, the Novohradská Mountains and the neighboring Austrian Alps.
By the way, you will have the cable car literally around the corner! The cable car is a 10-minute walk from the MOLI apartment (at a walking pace).
The way up full of views, the way down full of adrenaline and fun? Of course! You can go down the trail itself on a 52 m long toboggan, but the real experience awaits below the observation tower. This is where you can take advantage of the opportunity and rent off-road scooters. Special off-road scooters have a sprung front fork as well as a wide footrest for a comfortable and safe ride.
